Software and AI, built into the daily work of your organisation.

We design, build and operate software, AI and cloud platforms for Government departments, State agencies and Irish companies, and we connect them to the systems you already rely on.

  • 2,400+ colleagues
  • 600+ government projects across the EU
  • ISO/IEC 27001 certified
Nine cells, and a single system that fits together.

Nine nodes in a three by three grid, joined by one line that traces the FromNine mark. The line starts at the business, passes through data and models, software, cloud and day-to-day operations, and ends at a working system in production.

01 Size and principles

Large teams, clear accountability.

We concentrate on AI, cloud and current engineering practice, with the delivery capacity of a large firm behind it. In practice, we can put every discipline a programme needs on one team, and the people who design your system are still there when it goes live and afterwards.

2,400+people who design, build and operate systems for the public service and for private companies.

600+government projects for public bodies in EU Member States, completed or still in progress.

400+projects for private companies

Our work for the public service
  1. 01

    Fits the systems you run

We build on the platforms, data and processes you have today, and only replace the parts that genuinely need it.

  2. 02

    Easy to maintain for years

Each release is tested and documented before handover, so your own staff can keep changing it long after the project ends.

  3. 03

A person decides where it counts

Steps with real consequences wait for a person to approve them, and every automated action is logged for later review.

02 Services

Seven services, one team that owns the result.

AI only pays off when everything around it works: software people actually use, data you can trust, integrations that don’t break and the hosting to keep it all running. We deliver those pieces together, so they fit, and a single team is responsible for the whole.

Generative AI that copes with real users: based on your own data, tested before it goes live and monitored once it does.

  • Search and knowledge systems that cite their sources and honour access rights
  • Testing against quality criteria you set with us
  • Production monitoring of answer quality, cost and response time

AI Agents & Automation

Agents that stay inside the permissions you set and check with a person before any step that matters.

  • Tool access limited to what each agent needs
  • Approval points and handover to staff
  • A full record of every action taken

Data & Analytics

Well-governed data that your decisions and your AI can depend on.

  • Pipelines with lineage and built-in quality checks
  • Access rules built for GDPR compliance
  • Data made ready for search, reporting and AI

Enterprise Software & SaaS

SaaS products, portals and internal platforms that stay simple to adapt.

  • Interfaces built to WCAG 2.2 AA, a step beyond what S.I. No. 358 of 2020 asks of public bodies
  • Modernisation that keeps the business running
  • Automated tests and documentation your staff will actually use

Cloud & Platform Engineering

A cloud platform where shipping a release is ordinary and every cost is in plain view.

  • Repeatable environments defined as code
  • Release pipelines with quality gates
  • Monitoring, recovery plans and a clear view of spend

Integrations & APIs

Systems that pass data to each other reliably, even when one of them goes down.

  • Event-driven integration and well-designed APIs
  • Field mapping, retry logic and de-duplication
  • Links to your CRM and ERP, including EN 16931 e-invoices

Architecture & Consulting

Clear technical advice before you commit: the choices, what each one costs you, and a roadmap you can stand over.

  • Reviews of the architecture you run today
  • Options compared, decisions written down
  • A roadmap with guidance on delivery

03 Solutions

From daily friction to a system that works.

Begin with the problem, not the model. Every example below is laid out the same way: what slows your staff down today, what we would put in place, the gain you can measure, and the points where a person makes the call.

01

Document intelligence

Illustrative exampleHow documents come in
Incoming documents are sorted, the relevant fields are read out and each value is tested against your rules.Anything that fails a check goes to a person; documents that pass go directly into the business system.
The problem today
Staff key in details from application forms, letters and attachments by hand.
The system
An intake process that sorts each document, pulls out the fields that matter and checks them against your rules.
What improves
Your people deal with exceptions, not routine data entry.
Where a person decides
Anything uncertain goes to a member of staff before it touches the business system.
How document intelligence works
02

Enterprise knowledge

Illustrative exampleKnowledge search that respects access rights
Document libraries, wikis and tickets are indexed along with their access rights, and content owners choose what goes in.Retrieval filtered by access rights returns an answer with its sources, and user feedback makes it better. Both the index and the retrieval step stay within an access boundary.
The problem today
The answer is somewhere in the organisation, but tracking it down takes hours.
The system
An assistant that searches and answers using only what each person may see, and gives a source for every answer.
What improves
Quicker answers that are consistent and easy to check.
Where a person decides
Each answer links back to where it came from, and content owners choose what gets indexed.
How enterprise knowledge works
03

Service assistance

Illustrative exampleService assistance flow
The assistant reads each enquiry for its purpose and context, then proposes a reply and the knowledge that applies.A member of staff edits and sends it, sensitive cases go to a specialist, and the case is logged in the CRM.
The problem today
Staff jump between several systems while a resident or customer waits on the line.
The system
An assistant that pulls up the context and drafts a reply; your staff decide what is sent.
What improves
More attention on the person, less on searching.
Where a person decides
Nothing goes out without a member of staff, and sensitive cases are escalated automatically.
How service assistance works
04

Legacy modernisation

Illustrative exampleModernising in stages
Requests go through a stable interface that sits in front of the old system.Functions move across to new services one at a time; outputs are compared side by side, and the team approves before each switch.
The problem today
An old system holds rules and data you can’t do without, and every change feels like a gamble.
The system
Replacement in stages behind stable interfaces, so parts move to new software without one risky cutover.
What improves
Less risk with each change, and a system your staff can keep developing.
Where a person decides
Every stage runs alongside the old system until your team approves the switch.
How legacy modernisation works

04 Public service

Built to answer to the public.

600+projects for government and public bodies in the EU, finished or under way.

Government departments, State agencies and local authorities need technology that is accessible, secure and open to scrutiny, and that lasts longer than a single tender competition. Public-sector work has taught us to deliver within procurement rules, bilingual and multilingual requirements and strict data protection.

AI gets the same discipline: decisions written down, a person in control, and design that reflects the EU AI Act and Ireland’s Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Act 2026 from day one.

  • Our offices
Our public service work

A dot map of Europe with the 27 EU Member States highlighted and the rest of Europe in a lighter shade. The Antwerp and Ghent offices are marked.

What the public service can expect

  • Interoperability Stable interfaces built on open standards, following the Interoperable Europe Act and the once-only principle.
  • Accessibility Built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA and to EN 301 549, the standard public bodies meet under S.I. No. 358 of 2020, with content in Irish and English where the Official Languages Act applies.
  • Sovereignty Data hosted in the EU, hosting locations settled with you in advance, and no lock-in to a single vendor.
  • AI Act readiness Risk classification, documentation and human oversight planned from the start, under the EU AI Act and the Irish Act of 2026.
  • Procurement An answer to each requirement of the request for tender, plus decision records ready for audit and handover.

05 Enterprise platforms

AI inside the platforms you already run.

Your customer, finance, supply chain and operational data already sits in SAP, Salesforce or Odoo. We set up, extend and connect these platforms, and link AI to them with the correct access rights, so automation happens inside the processes your staff use every day.

06 Engineering detail

Most of a good AI feature is solid software.

The model is just one part. The integrations, access rights, testing, approval steps and operations around it decide if it holds up at nine on a Monday, with real users on it. That is where AI projects either succeed or fade out without anyone noticing.

One example architecture, from top to bottom

Illustrative only, not a client system
  1. AI is worth only as much as the systems it can read and update. So we design the integrations first: field mapping, retries, de-duplication and errors your staff can see.

  2. It only returns what the person asking is entitled to see. Access is enforced in the retrieval layer itself and never left to instructions in a prompt.

  3. Answers and actions are checked against agreed criteria before release and after it. Any action with real consequences waits until a person approves it.

  4. Infrastructure as code, separate environments and monitoring of quality, response time and cost, which lets your team operate, audit and improve the system once it is live.

Read the diagram as text

Six layers are stacked in the diagram. At the top are agents and process flows, with an approval point for a person before any action with consequences. Below come models and testing, then data and search, then integration, then the core business systems that hold the records: CRM, ERP, case handling and document libraries. A cloud platform with monitoring supports them all from below.

Access and identity cut through every layer vertically, so roles, identity and the audit trail are checked at each step. A request comes in at the top and travels down through all six layers to the business systems.

Four numbered notes: integration before prompts (integration and core business systems); search that honours access rights (data and search, access and identity); testing and sign-off points (models and agents); run, not just deployed (cloud platform and monitoring).

Our approach to architecture

07 How we work

From a first conversation to a system in daily use.

Four stages. Each one ends with something you can check and keep. You see where things stand at every point, and what we build belongs to you.

  1. 1. Understand

We look at the business problem, who is involved and which systems are already there, then agree with you what to tackle first.

    ResultA clear problem statement

    • Map of processes and systems
    • Risks and constraints
    • An agreed first use case
  2. 2. Design

We pick an architecture, agree how we will judge success and plan a first release that is small enough to go live.

    ResultArchitecture and measures of success

    • Decision records for the architecture
    • Criteria for quality and testing
    • Plan for the first release
  3. 3. Build

We work in short, tested steps that your staff can see, try out and question.

    ResultA tested build

    • Increments that work
    • Automated tests and model evaluations
    • Documentation written along the way
  4. 4. Run and improve

We hand the system over or run it ourselves, watch it in production and keep improving it with you.

ResultHandover and a plan for operations

    • Monitoring and runbooks
    • Who owns what, and how support works
    • A backlog of improvements

What we learn in production shapes the next round of discovery.

08 Trust, security and sovereignty

Under control, hosted in the EU, with people deciding.

Responsible AI is engineering work, not a policy on a shelf. Four layers of control surround each system we build, with your data and your decisions in the middle.

  • Sovereignty and where data lives

Data hosted in the EU by design. We settle the hosting locations with you before building starts, including sovereign cloud options where your requirements need them.

  • Security and ISO/IEC 27001

Our information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001. Every project includes least-privilege access, threat modelling and secure engineering from the design stage on.

  • Governance and readiness for the AI Act

Audit logs, decision records, documentation and risk classification, designed around the EU AI Act, the Irish Act of 2026 and GDPR, so you can explain any decision and who made it.

  • A person in control

Approval steps, escalation routes and the power to override, wherever an automated decision really affects people.

09 In Ireland

FromNine for Ireland

Irish buyers ask three things early: who will do the work, what the system will cost to run, and how a supplier from outside Ireland stays close. Fair questions. We do not have an office in Ireland. Our teams work from Antwerp, Ghent and Amsterdam, one hour ahead of Irish time, and the people who design your system are the people who deliver it.

Much of the Irish economy is made up of multinationals with Irish operations, where decisions are often shared with a group function abroad, and indigenous Irish companies growing from home. Both need choices written down so that everyone involved can follow them. Three changes shape the agenda right now: the AI Act already has an Irish Act and an AI Office, NIS2 is still making its way through the National Cyber Security Bill, and Revenue’s VAT modernisation plans mandatory B2B e-invoicing for large corporates from 1 November 2028.

Public work taught us to build for accountability: 600+ government projects for public bodies in EU Member States, completed and under way. In Ireland that means the principles of Connecting Government 2030 (digital by default, cloud-first, secure by design), sign-in with MyGovID, accessible services under S.I. No. 358 of 2020, Irish-language duties under the Official Languages Act, and EN 16931 e-invoices over Peppol for contracting authorities under S.I. No. 258 of 2019. Opportunities appear on eTenders, and we answer each requirement of the request for tender.

Examples for Ireland

Illustrative example
  1. A bilingual resident portal for a county council

A county council wants residents to apply for services online in Irish or English, signing in once with MyGovID, and the portal has to meet S.I. No. 358 of 2020 on web accessibility.

What we would put in place
A portal with content managed in both languages, MyGovID sign-in, and stable interfaces to the council’s planning, housing and payment systems behind it.
    Where a person decides
Council staff approve every form and every Irish and English text before it is published; decisions on applications stay with staff.
    How we would judge success
Share of applications completed online, accessibility issues found per release, and time to publish a new service in both languages.
  2. Getting ready for e-invoicing in 2028

A large corporate dealt with by Revenue’s Large Corporates Division will have to issue EN 16931 e-invoices and report invoice data from 1 November 2028 under the planned timeline, while its ERP still sends PDFs.

What we would put in place
E-invoices generated in the ERP and sent over Peppol, supplier e-invoices received and matched to orders, and reporting data assembled and checked before it goes to Revenue.
    Where a person decides
The finance team works through every exception and signs off the reporting; nothing is corrected silently in the background.
    How we would judge success
Share of invoices sent and received as valid e-invoices, rejections per month, and hours spent on exceptions.
  3. AI Act evidence for a State agency

A State agency uses an AI system to help staff prioritise grant applications. If it falls under the high-risk rules from December 2027, the agency must be able to show the Irish supervisors, coordinated by the AI Office of Ireland, how it works and who answers for it.

What we would put in place
Technical documentation, test results and event logs generated by the release pipeline and versioned with each release, in a form the agency can hand to a market surveillance authority.
    Where a person decides
A named owner in the agency signs off each release; staff can override every suggestion, and each override is logged.
    How we would judge success
Documentation complete per release, how long it takes to answer an auditor’s question, and test results over time.
