This website should work for everyone, whether you move through it with a keyboard, use a screen reader or a magnifier, or have asked your system for less motion.

  1. Our target

Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens external site) is the standard we design and build this website to.

Many of our clients are public bodies. In Ireland, public sector bodies apply the European standard EN 301 549 under the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 (S.I. No. 358 of 2020), which transpose the Web Accessibility Directive (opens external site) and are monitored by the National Disability Authority. EN 301 549 still refers to WCAG 2.1. WCAG 2.2 adds success criteria, for instance on visible focus and target size, and we apply them too.

  2. Conformance status

The website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. We design and test against the standard, but no independent audit has taken place yet. Once it has, we will revise this statement and list whatever issues the audit finds.

    Known limitations

    • Some diagrams contain a lot of detail. Each one has a written version under "Read the diagram as text"; if a written version is unclear, please let us know.
    • The three-dimensional illustration on the home page is purely decorative. It stops when you pause it, after roughly a minute, or when your system requests reduced motion; where 3D graphics are not available, a still image is shown in its place.
    • Official documents that we link to, for example publications on EUR-Lex or the Irish Statute Book, are not under our control and may not meet the same standard.
    • On small screens, some diagrams are wider than the screen and scroll sideways within their frame; each one also has a written version under "Read the diagram as text".
    • We have not yet tested the website with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS. If anything is read out unclearly, please let us know.
  3. What we do

Pages are built with semantic HTML, ordered headings and landmarks, so that screen reader users can find their way. Everything can be operated by keyboard, and the focus indicator is clearly visible. In the dark theme and in the light theme, text and controls meet the AA contrast requirements.

Animations follow your system’s reduced motion setting. Where something moves without stopping, such as the illustration at the top of the home page and the row of job roles lower down that page, a pause control halts it. The control shows when you point at the animation or move to it with the keyboard, stays in view while the animation is paused, and your choice applies on every page. Other animations run once as content comes into view. Content can still be read without JavaScript. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are explained in text. We test layouts from a width of 320 pixels upwards and at 200 per cent zoom.

Every release goes through automated accessibility checks and a manual keyboard test. Testing with screen readers is planned but not yet done.

  4. Report a barrier

If part of this website does not work for you, let us know the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. Email contact@fromnine.com or use the contact page. We will answer and, where possible, fix the problem or give you the information in another form.

  5. About this statement

We prepared this statement on 2 October 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment by the team that builds the website, and adapted it for Ireland on 5 November 2026. We review it at least once a year and whenever the website changes significantly.

In Ireland, the European Accessibility Act is transposed by the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023), which apply from 28 June 2025 to the products and services within their scope. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) enforces them for products and for services such as e-commerce, and ComReg and Coimisiún na Meán do so for specified communications and media services. We publish this statement whether or not this website falls within that scope.
