Careers
Build the systems organisations depend on.
Work with 2,400+ colleagues on AI systems, enterprise software and cloud platforms for the public service and for companies around Europe. The users are real, so are the consequences, and the people beside you care about getting it right.
Offices in Antwerp, Ghent and Amsterdam, with teams that deliver for clients in Ireland and across Europe.

Why FromNine
Size and craft under one roof
Work people use from nine
What we build helps caseworkers, finance teams, engineers and members of the public through their working day. You get to see your work in use.
A large firm’s range
With 2,400+ colleagues and 600+ government projects across the EU, there are hard problems, programmes that run for years and the freedom to move between them.
Work you will be proud of
Tested code, reviewed changes, decisions on paper and handovers done properly. We take the less glamorous side of engineering seriously.
Practices, not silos
You are part of a practice of people with your skills, whether in AI, software, cloud, data or platforms, and you work in teams that combine them.

Try new methods at the Ghent hub
Ghent is home to FromNine’s innovation and development hub. The engineers there test new AI and platform techniques on realistic problems, build the shared components and reference architectures that delivery teams use, and turn whatever works into common practice.
If you enjoy taking an idea from first experiment to something a client can actually run, Ghent is a good place for it.
- Experiments with a pointEvery idea is tried on realistic cases and judged by the same quality standard as client work.
- Built for many teamsThe components and methods made here are picked up by delivery teams throughout the company.
- Learning in the openResults, including the things that failed, are shared with colleagues in all our offices.
How we work
Small teams, clear owners, actual users
You join a team that mixes disciplines, has a clear aim and works with a client you get to know well. We plan in short cycles, demonstrate working software often and record the decisions that count.
We place people where they are strongest and keep teams together, so you can follow a system all the way from design to production. Colleagues review your work; nobody just rubber-stamps it.
- Our approachThe four stages each of our teams follows.
Growth
Grow through the work and past it
Learning on live projects
You work next to experienced colleagues on systems in production and take on more responsibility as you are ready.
Changing direction
Public service or private sector, AI or platforms, product or programme: our range lets you change course without changing employer.
Platform certification
Our SAP, Salesforce and Odoo practices follow each vendor’s certification paths, and getting certified is part of how those practices develop.
Passing on what you know
Internal sessions, written notes and the work of the Ghent hub keep knowledge flowing between teams and offices.

Ireland
EU rules, and the Irish details
Our teams work for public bodies and companies in several Member States, so the rules of the EU digital market are part of everyday engineering. On projects for Irish clients you would meet the EU AI Act alongside Ireland’s Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Act 2026, GDPR as the Data Protection Commission supervises it, and accessibility under S.I. No. 358 of 2020 for public-sector websites and apps. It is demanding work, and the experience is useful wherever you go next.

What candidates ask us
Where are open roles published?
On our jobs page. If none of the roles there suits you, you are still welcome to get in touch through the contact page.
Do I need AI experience to apply?
No. AI is in most of what we build, but so is sound engineering in software, cloud, data and platforms. Curiosity and good habits count for more than knowing one particular tool.
Where would I be based?
We do not have an office in Ireland. Our European offices are in Antwerp (administration), Ghent (innovation and development hub) and Amsterdam. Your base, and how much time you spend with the client, are agreed for each role.
What languages do your teams work in?
Our European teams use the client’s language: English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish or Italian. With clients in Ireland we work in English. Each vacancy says which languages the role needs.
What happens to the data in my application?
We use it only to assess your application and keep it no longer than necessary, in line with GDPR. The candidate privacy notice linked from each vacancy gives the details.
Questions about working with us?
Ask us about the teams, the roles or the Ghent hub. To apply, please use the jobs page instead of sending your CV through the contact form.
