Why FromNine
Scale and craft in the same place
Work that matters at nine o’clock
Our systems support case handlers, finance teams, engineers and citizens in their working day. You will see what you build being used.
The scale of a large firm
2,400+ colleagues and 600+ European government projects mean serious problems, long-running programmes and room to move between them.
Craft you can be proud of
Tested code, reviewed changes, written decisions and proper handovers. We take the unglamorous parts of engineering seriously.
Practices, not silos
You belong to a practice of people who do what you do, across AI, software, cloud, data and platforms, and you work in teams that mix them.

Explore new approaches at the Ghent hub
Our Ghent office is FromNine’s innovation and development hub. Engineers there explore new AI and platform techniques on realistic problems, build the reusable components and reference architectures our delivery teams rely on, and turn what works into shared practice.
If you like taking an idea from experiment to something a client can run, Ghent is a good place to do it.
- Experiment with purposeIdeas are tested against realistic cases and held to the same quality bar as client work.
- Build for many teamsComponents and methods made here are used by delivery teams across the company.
- Learn in the openFindings, including what did not work, are shared with colleagues in every office.
How we work
Small teams, clear ownership, real users
You work in a multidisciplinary team with a clear goal and a client you get to know. Teams plan in short cycles, show working software often and write down the decisions that matter.
We put people where their strengths are and keep teams together, so you can see a system through from design to production. Your work is reviewed by colleagues, not just signed off.
- Our approachThe four stages every team works through.
Growth
Grow through the work, and beyond it
Learn on real projects
Work alongside experienced colleagues on production systems, and take on more responsibility as you are ready for it.
Move between domains
Public and private sector, AI and platforms, product and programme: the breadth of our work lets you change direction without changing employer.
Platform certification
Our Salesforce, SAP and Odoo practices work with the vendors’ certification paths, and certification is part of how those practices grow.
Share what you know
Internal sessions, write-ups and the work of the Ghent hub keep knowledge moving between teams and offices.

Open roles
Find your role
We publish every open role with the team, the location and what the work involves, so you can judge the fit before you apply.
Our jobs page is being prepared. Until it is live, the contact page reaches our team.
International
European work, European standards
Our teams build for public institutions and companies in several EU Member States, so the rules of the European digital market are part of daily engineering here. You will work with the EU AI Act on human oversight and documentation, with GDPR on every system that touches personal data, and with the European Accessibility Act on interfaces that everyone must be able to use. It is demanding work, and it is the kind of experience that travels well.
Questions from candidates
Where can I see open roles?
Open roles are published on our jobs page. If you do not see a role that fits, you can still reach us through the contact page.
Do I need experience with AI to join?
No. AI is part of most of what we build, but so are solid software, cloud, data and platform engineering. Curiosity and good engineering habits matter more than experience with a specific tool.
Where would I work?
Our offices are in Antwerp (administration), Ghent (innovation and development hub), Amsterdam and Cyberjaya in Malaysia, a second innovation and development hub that works with the European teams. Where you work from, and how often you are with the client, is discussed per role.
Which languages do you work in?
Our European teams work in the language of the client: English, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian and other European languages. In Asia, teams work in English, Malay, Chinese and Thai. Language requirements for a role are stated in each vacancy.
How do you handle my application data?
We use your data only to assess your application and keep it no longer than needed, under GDPR. Our candidate privacy notice, linked from each vacancy, explains the details.
Questions about working here?
Ask us about teams, roles or the Ghent hub. Please apply for roles through the jobs page rather than sending a CV through the contact form.
